I will miss a great friend. Ed's wit and jokes were a constant source of humor and inspiration. I forwarded them for years to elderly relatives who thoroughly enjoyed them and enabled them to be connected. Ed was always positive and saw the best in every situation and person.

I am so sorry and sad to learn of Ed's passing. I am very grateful to have known Ed and blessed to call him, friend. Ed's smile lit up the room. He had such a caring nature and a natural ability to make you feel welcome in his presence. As the words of Maya Angelou say..“I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” I believe Ed made people feel good.... He will be so truly missed.

I'll miss Ed. When I started in the flavor industry Ed was one of the sales people who really helped me learn the ropes. He knew everybody and always had a story. Even as his health prevented him from traveling and attending meetings his often personal emails and Facebook presence always kept him close.

I am very sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I first met Ed nearly 20 years ago when I was just getting my feet wet in the flavor industry. As he was very well known for, Ed made an immediate personal connection and provided tremendous insights and education early on in my career. I always looked forward to his e-mails and Holiday greeting e-cards that he so thoughtfully sent over the years. One of my greatest memories of Ed is the cheerful attitude, his joyous demeanor, and those kind words of encouragement that calmed my nerves moments before my apprentice exam for the SFC. What a great guy and truly an all time great sense of humor. He could convince a customer they were happy and grateful to receive their order late. We remember his humor, but his knowledge of our business was extensive and insightful and he had a very warm, personal, and sensitive side. His children meant the world to him and my heart goes out to them. Surely the Angels in Heaven will all be laughing with him there. I will miss you my friend.

I've known Ed for decades. He was one of this industry's most treasured members. He was well known for his stories, his emails and his compassion. He loved to laugh and called things as he saw them.
