Joan S. Zaluna, 76, of Roselle Park, NJ died on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Rahway, NJ.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, NJ on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 7:45am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park, NJ at 9am. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Thursday.
Born and raised in Elizabeth, Mrs. Zaluna has lived in Roselle Park for forty-five years.
She was an English teacher at the Cranford High School, Cranford, NJ in the 1960’s, an Adjunct Professor at the Kean University, Union, NJ from 1982 to 1985 and a Case Worker at the Department of Health and Human Services of Union County for twenty years, retiring in 2006.
Surviving are a loving son Anthony Belluscio and his fiancée Dianna, a loving daughter Tara Basil and her husband Bill, an adored grandson Benjamin Basil, a dear sister Marion Abilata, and two dear brothers, Richard and Charles Matkowski
