Regina “Jean” Dougherty, (nee: Reiss), 93, of Rutland, VT, Formerly of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2016.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 8 to 9:30am in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10am in Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
Born in Wilkes Barre, Pa, Jean settled to Roselle Park, NJ in 1952 before moving to Vermont two years ago.
She was a member of the Rosary Alter Society at Church of the Assumption, a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and a volunteer for Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, and a graduate of Meyer High School in Wilkes Barre, PA.
Jean was a clerk in the drafting department at Elastic Store Nut in Elizabeth for many years before retiring in 1974.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph Dougherty.
Jean in survived by four loving children Patricia Williams and her husband Douglas, William Dougherty and his wife Nina, Jane Dougherty Cosgrove and her husband Stephen, and Peggy Dougherty Gore and her husband Stanley; seven adored grandchildren Joseph, Michael, Nicole, Patrick, Shanne, Jesse, and Anthony; and six cherished great-grandchildren Laura, Anna, James, Tyler, Justin, and Nina.
