Obituary for George A. Casaine

George A. Casaine, 71, of South Plainfield, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 8:15am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 9:30am. Interment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Wednesday.
Born in Bronx, NY, George lived in Edison, NJ, Boynton Beach, FL, before moving to South Plainfield, NJ three months ago.
He was an electrical engineer for AT&T in Holmdel for 27 years before retiring in 1999.
George served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in the 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, and the 2nd Brigade.
He received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Puerto Rico in Electrical Engineering.
George was a member of the VFW in Boynton Beach, FL, and an avid conga musician, photographer, and D. J.
He is survived by two loving sons Joseph and his wife Heather and David; a dear brother Sergio and his wife Haydee; and three cherished grandchildren Andrew, Emily, and William; and the mother of his children Carmen Casaine.
