Obituary for Karl G. Poschner

Karl G. Poschner, 93, of Kenilworth, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 8:45am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth at 10am. Entombment will follow to Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Friday.
Born in Trostberg Bauaria, Germany, Karl came to the United States in Newark, NJ in 1929 and settled to Kenilworth, NJ 60 years ago.
He was a tool maker for Liberty Mold & Duplicating in Springfield, before retiring as president in 1985.
He was a member of the Kenilworth Senior Citizens, and an avid fisherman.
Karl served in the United States Marines during World War II and was in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.
He attended the Newark Public School of Fine and Industrial Arts.
Karl is predeceased by his first wife Lois Irene (Leschinski) Poschner and a loving daughter Janet Lewan.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 49 years Evelyn (Bennett) Poschner; four loving children Lois Ann Borlase, Margaret Chapman, Kenneth Hart, and Thomas Hart; nine adored grandchildren, and three cherished great-grandchildren.
