“Herman” Walter Koch, 77, of Elizabeth, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2017.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Services on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park at 10am. Please be at the funeral home 9:15am.

Cemetery is private.

Visitation will be on Monday 3 to 7pm.


Born in Newark, NJ, Walter lived in Irvington, NJ, before settling to Elizabeth, NJ 27 years ago.

He was a steam fitter for Steam Fitter Local 475 in Warren, NJ for 50 years before retiring in 2000.

Walter was a member of the B.P.O.E Elks Lodge 1583 in Union, NJ.

He is predeceased by his dear sister Martha Delaney.

Walter is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years Judith Ann (nee: Sorensen) Koch, four loving children Walter D. Koch, Patricia Ault and her husband Joseph, Michele Knezevic and her husband David, and Lea Koch, a dear sister Kate M. Evanchik, and seven adored grandchildren Jessica, Anthony, Conner, Melissa, Kyle, Raeph, and Damian.
