Obituary for Rosario Galluzzo
Rosario Galluzzo, 81, of Kenilworth, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 23, 2019.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 8:30am. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth at 10am. Entombment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
Visitation will be 5 to 9pm on Friday.
Born in Alessandria della Rocca, Sicily, Italy Rosario came to the United States in 1960 where he settled to Newark, NJ, before Kenilworth, NJ.
Rosario was an entrepreneur for R. Galluzzo Disposal and Maria’s Catering.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
Rosario loved being with his family and friends fishing and eating for a small man he had a big heart, a very giving and generous man to his family and friends he would give you the shirt off of his back.
Rosario is predeceased by his caring parents Giuseppe and Luigia (nee: DiGiovanni) Galluzzo, beloved wife Maria Stella (nee: Alessi) Galluzzo and two dear siblings Elena Proietto and Giovanni Galluzzo.
Surviving are four loving children Giuseppe Galluzzo, Antonino, Sr. “Antonio” Galluzzo and his wife Jennifer, Luigia “Gina” Galluzzo, and Rosario Galluzzo, Jr., five adored grandchildren Antonino, Jr., Vito, Gino, Maria Stella, and Gianna Stella, and a dear brother Jerome “Jerry” Galluzzo.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
