Obituary for John J Cusmano
John J Cusmano, 83, of Monroe, passed away at St. Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick, on July 3, 2019. Born in Elizabeth, John lived in Garwood, Rahway & Matawan, before moving to Monroe 15 years ago.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 1-4pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Funeral service will be held at 2pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
John worked for the Carpenters Local Union for 20 years before retiring 15 years ago. He worked as a project manager and owned several construction companies; owner and operated a 7/11; was an avid golfer & private pilot. He served in the National Guard during the Berlin Crisis.
John was predeceased by his parents, Joseph & Nettie Cusmano & his sister Lori. Surviving is his daughter Danna Fraser; son, Robert Cusmano; 2 brothers, James & Nick; 2 sisters, Catherine Mazza & JoAnne Cusmano & 4 grandchildren.
