Obituary for Luisa M. Gonzalez
Luisa M. Gonzalez, 56, of Elizabeth, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2019.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 8:45am. A Funeral Mass will follow to Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Interment will be at St. Teresa of Avila Cemetery in Summit.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Tuesday.
Born in Havana, Cuba, Luisa lived in Madrid, Spain, before settling to Elizabeth in 1973.
She was a paralegal for Central Jersey Legal Services in Elizabeth for 32 years.
Luisa was a 1984 graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in English.
She was on the board for Meals on Wheels in Elizabeth.
She was predeceased by her dear parents Fernando and Luisa (nee: Leon) Gonzalez.
Luisa is survived by her beloved husband of 15 years; Gregory J. Jones, a loving daughter; Allison Jones, a dear brother; Fernando Gonzalez, also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and friends.
