Obituary for Thomas R. Hart
Thomas R. Hart, 68, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 9:15 am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Theresa at R.C. Church in Kenilworth at 10:30 am. Interment will follow to Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
Visitation is 4-8 pm on Thursday.
Born in Newark, NJ, Thomas lived in Kenilworth before settling to Bridgewater 40 years ago. He was a manager for Captive Plastics in Piscataway for 40 years, retiring 10 years ago. Thomas was a member of the Fr. McVeigh Council #4186 Knights of Columbus in Kenilworth. Thomas loved his dog Foxy, the Yankees, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a storyteller and loved to make people laugh.
He is predeceased by his father’s Kenneth Hart and Karl Poschner. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Karen J. (nee: Materia) Hart, two loving children, Brian and his wife Noelle, and Kimberly and her husband Chris, cherished grandson Jeremy, adored mother Evelyn (nee: Bennett) Poschner, and a dear brother Kenneth B. Hart and his wife Joan, two dear sisters, Lois Borlase and her husband George and Margaret Chapman and her husband Michael. Also surviving are many loved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
