Obituary for Alexander A Bennett

Alexander A "Al" Bennett, 71, of summit, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2022.

Survived by his loving wife Carmen of 26 years, both soul mates eternally.

Al's beloved parents Leonard & Lucy, so proud of their son Al, when he took upon himself to serve his country, AL joined the US Army in 1970 and went to Vietnam during wartime. After his return, to his family who Al loved dearly, sister Catherine (beloved brother in law Mike), Brother Leonard Jr & wife Doris, predeceased by his sister Lucy, sister Laura & husband Harry, predeceased by bis brother in law, Billy Heinel, and brother Paul
Al was a loving uncle to his nieces & nephews & great nieces & nephews.

Al had cherished family also when he married Carmen, brother in laws, sister in laws & nieces & nephews, both here & in Puerto Rico.

Al worked as an armed guard for 50 years and loved bowlin, where he was a league member for many years; loved wrestling & and a movie buff.

AL loved the Jets & Mets but most of all family gatherings and holidays. AL was there for everything and memories were made forever and blessed the with wonderful memories. Al peace & love enter the angelic gates of heaven until we meet again.

Visitation will be on Thursday at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Funeral mass will be on Friday at 10am at Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park, with entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, Masks must be worn at all times while in the funeral home.
