Obituary for AnnMarie Bonassisa

Ann Marie Bonassisa, 52, of Roselle Park, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2020, at Overlook Medical Center, Summit with her family at her side. Born in Newark, she resided in Irvington then Bloomfield before moving to Roselle Park 30 years ago.

Visitation will be on Wednesday September 16th, from 4-7pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Funeral mass will be on Thursday September 17th, at 10am at Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park with entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

Ann Marie spent many years as an Office Manager for Roselle Park Medical Associates. Most recently she worked for Metro Physicians in Cranford for 6 years. Ann Marie was an active parishioner at the Church of the Assumption, including being a Eucharistic Minister at the 12 Noon Mass. She spent many years as a Girl Scout troop leader for her daughter’s troop.
Ann Marie enjoyed baking cookies and treats for her family and friends. She also enjoyed an occasional getaway to Atlantic City with Vincent to play her Mom’s favorite slot machine.

Ann Marie was a devoted loving wife and mother. She is predeceased by her parents, Phillip and Lucy Hallen and father-in-law Michael and survived by her husband (high school sweetheart) of 33 years, Vincent; her children, Stephanie and Vincent Jr and his fiancé, Rebecca; brothers: Phillip Jr, Patrick, and Robert. Mother-in-law Catherine, sister-in-law’s: Sharon, Sherri, Sandra, Victoria and predeceased by Lisa; brother-in-law’s: Michael, Dion and Ralph. Loved by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends.

Ann Marie was passionate about raising money and awareness for breast cancer in memory of her mother, Lucy Hallen. Each October her and her team participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk central jersey.
