Obituary for Anselmo P Scutary Jr.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anselmo Scutary, affectionately known as Hans, who left us on July 4, 2023. Hans was born on February 16, 1944 and lived a full life.
Hans is lovingly remembered by his son Christopher Scutary, his daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Christopher Preston, and his grandchildren Olivia Preston, Luke Scutary, and Logan Scutary.
His love for Italian food was not only apparent in his favorite dishes but in his talent as a gifted cook. His dishes will forever remain a cherished memory for his loved ones.
Music was also a passion of Hans. He would often be found listening to records on hours end in the living room, often with Nicole curled up beside him as a little girl. These timeless memories are now dear keepsakes treasured in the hearts of his family.
Hans' love for television was most notably pointed towards game shows. He particularly loved Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, making sure to never miss an episode and he also loved watching sports with his beloved son Chris. They often had friendly battles about who would win. Hans would also try his luck at the lottery and enjoyed playing slot machines at the casino with his son Chris hoping to try and hit that "Big One" some day.
Hans is remembered by his loved ones as being thoughtful, loving, and laid back. His life lessons held influence, most prominently, he instilled in his children the importance of a strong work ethic and self-reliance.
The void left by Hans' passing will be deeply felt by his children and grandchildren, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
