Obituary for Arthur J Sabatino
Arthur J Sabatino, 80 of Union, passed away peacefully at Overlook Medical Center, on February 19, 2024, with his son, Arthur & best friend, Pat by his side.
Arthur was born Lucama, NC and settled with his family in Union, NJ. He was a history teacher for the Elizabeth Board of Education for many years before his retirement. Arthur studied the Martial Arts and was a 6th degree black belt studying the art of Shukokai karate. He was taught by Shigeru Kimura and operated several studios in the Union area during the 80's & 90's.
He was predeceased by his wife, Zenaida; his daughter, Jennifer & sister Cynthia. Surviving is his son Arthur III; sister, Sherry Sabatino & grandson Justin.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6 at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Graveside services will be on Monday at 11am at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
