Obituary for Benjamin F. "Benny" Venezio
Benjamin Frank Venezio, 88, of Kenilworth NJ, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 surrounded by his wife and four children.
Ben was born to Marie and Frank Venezio on May 17, 1932 in Elizabeth, NJ. After the loss of his father as a young man, Ben left school to support his mother and two sisters, Dorothy and Jean. He began a lifetime career as a tool and die maker and worked hard to provide for his family.
In 1953 he married Barbara Joan Bell. They moved to Kenilworth where they raised four children and remained lifelong residents. Earlier this month, he and Barbara celebrated 66 years of marriage.
In 1998, Ben retired from Weiss-Aug. He continued to pursue his love of photography, which began over 50 years ago. He was past president of the Cranford-Millburn Camera Club and the Camera Naturalist Club in Basking Ridge. Over the years he has won many awards and has been written about in the Star Ledger and other local newspapers. His images have been in calendars, Nature’s Best magazine, the Smithsonian in Washington D.C., as well as the walls of his home and his children’s homes.
Ben is survived by his wife, Barbara, four children, Donna, Danny, David, & Sharon, eight grandchildren, Dushan, Danny, Gio, Anton, Deshika, Matthew, Alyssa, & Isabella, great granddaughter, Ava, as well as his sister, Jean, and her husband Tom.
A viewing and service will take place Friday July 24, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Avenue, Roselle Park, New Jersey, 07204.

Funeral will take place Saturday July 25, 2020 at 11:00
