Obituary for Carlos Ignacio Chavez-Ortez
Carlos Ignacio Chavez-Ortez, 71, of Roselle, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2022.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park from 4 to 8pm. Cremation will be private.
Born in Managua, Nicaragua, Carlos came to the United States in 1984 to New York City, NY, and settled to Roselle, NJ in 1999.
He was a transmission specialist since he was 15 years old and worked for Mr. Transmission in Decatur, GA.
He was a kind hardworking man who loved to sing, dance and joke around.
Carlos was known by his family as Nacho and Papi especially by his granddaughter Luna and he had a close relationship with his youngest sister Margarita Hernandez.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 50 years, Danelia A. (nee: Medina) Chavez, four loving children Carlos Chavez, Jr. and his wife Lauri, Ivan Chavez and his wife Krista, Rosa Chavez, and Minerva Chavez and her fiancé Jafat Carbajal, three dear brothers, three dear sisters, and ten adored grandchildren Jesse, Alyssa, Jarred, Kyle, Jordan, Jaden, Charlie, Travis, Michael, and Luna.
