Obituary for Carmela "Millie" Capobianco

Carmela “Millie” Capobianco, 98, a lifelong Kenilworth resident passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park from 8:30am to 9:30am. A funeral mass will follow to St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth at 10am. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.

Born in Newark, NJ, Millie lived in Kenilworth most of her life.

Millie was an assembler for General Electric in Newark for 40 years, retiring 65 years ago. After her retirement she helped at the family’s restaurant Ange & Min’s in Kenilworth.

Millie enjoyed dancing in New York every weekend and trips to Atlantic City, but her true enjoyment was the love of being with her family, especially family dinners.

She is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Augustina Capobianco who passed away at a young age, so she was raised by her late adored aunt and uncle Angelo and Minnie Capobianco, four loving brothers Vito, Joe, Sonny and Anthony Capobianco, and four loving sisters, Angie Dinela, Lena Alocco, Margie Capobianco and Patty Foti.
Millie is survived by her loving sister, Ann Marie Vaz and her husband Tony and many caring nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
