Obituary for Carol E Graves

Carol E. Graves (née Maggs); peacefully passed away on January 11th, 2022 at the age of 79. Carol was born in Linden, NJ on June 30th, 1942 to Robert F. Maggs Sr. and Edna Maggs. Carol graduated from Roselle Park High School in 1960. She went on to study Medical Secretary/Transcription at Essex College of Business.

Most of her career was working in the medical field, ending as a phlebotomist in Florida at Florida Blood Services. Carol was also a former president of the Westfield volunteer rescue squad. She was a resident of Roselle Park, NJ until she relocated in 1995 to St. Petersburg, FL with her late husband Kenneth L. Graves Sr. While living in Roselle Park, she was very active within the community including RPYBSL and Pop Warner. She was also very active within her condo’s community in Florida, holding several elected positions including governor and federation secretary.

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed fishing in both the Jersey shore and the Gulf of Mexico. Carol showed her love for her family and friends through her cooking and baking. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her.

Carol is survived by her four children Kenneth L. Graves Jr, Donna M. Graves (Dario Muscaritolo), Richard T. Graves (Carol J.), and Kevin M. Graves Sr. (Jennifer); eleven grandchildren Diana Turner (Bryan), Kenneth L. Graves III, Kevin M. Graves Jr, Zachary Graves, Samantha Graves, Alyssa Graves, Drew Graves, Vincent Graves, Lina Muscaritolo, Brett Graves, and Joseph Graves; and one great-grandchild Autumn Turner. Carol is also survived by her three siblings Amy Autenreith, Robert F. Maggs Jr, and Linda King; and many nieces and nephews. She also had one grand-dog Stella who she absolutely adored.
