Obituary for Dorothy L. "Dottie" Rossmann (Lesnowich)

Dorothy L. “Dottie” Rossmann, (nee: Lesnowich), 87, of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 2, 2022.

Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 8:45am. A funeral mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Interment will follow to Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
Visitation will be 4 to 8pm on Tuesday.

Born in Irvona, PA, Dottie lived in Jersey City before moving to Roselle Park in 1954.

She was a reading specialist teacher at Aldene School in Roselle Park for 25 years, retiring 20 years ago.

She received her Master’s Degree and Master’s Plus 30 Degree from Kean University, Union in 1985.

Dottie was a member of the NJEA, active member of the retired NJREA where she was past president and state delegate, member and past president of the Rosary Altar Society of Church of the Assumption, Casano Center, Casano Senior Center, Tobruk Club and the 60+ Club of Union.

Dottie loved to travel, teach underprivileged children at Kean University, and spend time with her loving family and many friends.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Fred L. Rossmann, two dear brothers Walter and Charles Lesnowich.
Surviving are three loving children; Fred Eric Rossmann, William L. Rossmann and his wife Mena, and Karen A. Rusin and her husband Mark; dear brother Stephen Lesnowich; five grandchildren; Candice (Chris), Matthew (Jessica), Marissa (Louis), Jessica (Leonard), and Amanda (John), six great-grandchildren; Grayson, Asher, Gino, Alana, Leonardo, and Madison.
