Obituary for Eamon S Cagney
Eamon Cagney , aged 27, residing in New York City passed away on Friday, August 5th, 2022.
Eamon grew up in Cranford NJ and studied Computer Science at Georgetown University. He went on to work for Google immediately after graduation.
Eamon is remembered as a most kind and gentle soul who loved the people in his life deeply. He was an avid thinker and reader and seeker of knowledge. Eamon was a talented musician and songwriter. He was a brave traveler who loved to explore new places and new experiences. Eamon was the person who cared more for others than for himself; never hesitating to help someone out with money, time or attention. He was completely and deeply loved by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Jill Cagney Hislip, father Carl Cagney, step father Kyle Hislip, brother Daniel Cagney, grandfather Howard Blakeslee, his grandmother Kay Cagney, step sister Carolyn Hislip and step brother Paul Hislip.
The family is completely heartbroken and asks that all who loved him keep him in their positive thoughts and in whatever manner of prayer means something to them.
Memorial gathering will be on Saturday from 2-5pm at the funeral home. At 4pm, there will be an opportunity to share memories of Eamon.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the NYC Coalition for the Homeless.
