Obituary for Edward G Beissel
Edward G. Beissel, of Roselle Park, NJ passed away on August 31, 2022, at the age of 94. Ed lived a life of service, first serving in the U.S. Navy, then joining the N.Y.P.D, and then moved to the U.S.P.S. until he retired.
His love for the arts and language came through in both his calligraphy and as a writer for the A.P.W.U. monthly. He was known for his giving nature, big heart, and love for life. He was a loving husband, stepfather and grandfather, devoted son, and amazing friend to so many people. Those who had the privilege and honor of knowing him were rewarded with humor, kindness, generosity, and a humble nature. He will be sorely missed.
He is predeceased by his parents Agnes and Charles; his brothers Robert and Charlie; his wife Doris; and his stepson Edward. He is survived by his step granddaughter Jennifer and many dear friends. He was buried with Doris and Edward at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield at a small ceremony with loved ones.
