Elaine was born in Elizabeth, NJ in 1946. She grew up in Roselle, NJ and attended Abraham Clark High School before eventually moving to Roselle Park, NJ where she resided over the past 41 years. She worked as a personal account manager for Meeker Sharkey Insurance in Cranford, NJ for over 30 years.

Elaine was a person of deep faith and loved being active in various groups through the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She worked with the Stitches Group which amongst other things made prayer shawls and blankets for those in need. She took that idea and on her own made many blankets for the vets at the PTSD unit in the Lyons VA Hospital in Lyons, NJ. She worked with the Lazarus Group which helped people deal with bereavement and she worked for the Food Pantry every other Tuesday. Elaine dedicated her life to God and family and was a great friend to many. She led by example and always had more to give of herself for those in need.

Elaine was predeceased by her sons Brian Kelly, William Jr. and her brother Hugh Bisset. In 2007 she lost the love of her life and husband of 31 years William McTague Sr.

Elaine is survived by her sons Sean and his wife Leonor, Andrew and his wife Sherri and her daughter Dee. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Andrew, Kaitlin, Kelly, Nicole, Collin, Samantha and Eric and two great grandchildren Kyle and Maverick. Also missing Elaine are her three sisters Mary, Barbara and Janet and her brother Kevin Bisset.

In lieu of flowers we ask if you can donate to the charities Elaine believed in. Samaritan’s Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org), St Jude (www.stjude.org) or the Food Pantry run through the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park.

A memorial service and a celebration of life will follow in the near future.
