Obituary for Eleanor Bauer
Eleanor H. Bauer (1919-2020)
Ms. Eleanor Helen Bauer passed peacefully on Tuesday, October 20 from natural causes. She recently celebrated her 101st birthday.
A long-time resident of Roselle Park, NJ, she resided at Stonebridge Assisted Living in Skillman over the last seven years.
She was an employee of Verizon-NJ Bell Telephone for over 35 years, as an Information and International Operator and Supervisor.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law, Maria Bauer of Ewing, and her nephews and nieces: Patrick Bauer of Naples FL, Alceste Gallo of Bradenton FL, James Bauer of Convent Station, Pamala Maricich of Tom’s River, Robert Bauer of Carteret, Susan Bavaro of Lawrenceville, Tyrone Bauer of Skillman, Taryn Bauer of Titusville, and Thomas Bavero of Hamilton. Eleanor also had numerous grandnephews and grandnieces that all remember her fondly.
Eleanor was predeceased by her brothers: Neil, James, William, Robert and Carl. Her parents were Patrick and Elizabeth Bauer.
In retirement, she was active in the NJ Telephone Pioneers, loved to travel, visit NYC museums, attend Broadway/Papermill shows, and celebrated many Bauer family milestones.
A short viewing followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on 10/24 at The Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park beginning at 9:30AM.
In leu of flowers, her family requests donations be considered to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3557 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
