Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Brady (LaQuaglia)
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother Elizabeth Ann Brady, of Cranford, New Jersey at the age of 96 on December 27, 2022.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ to Gaetano and Anna (Colicchio) LaQuaglia, Elizabeth grew up in Elizabeth and was a proud 1944 graduate of Battin High School, and the Elizabeth General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1946, where she trained under the United States Cadet Nurse Corps during World War Two. She got engaged on an Elizabeth city bus to her future husband, Herbert Brady who enlisted in the Navy. Upon returning from the war, they married in 1947. Together they built a life of adventure and simple joys. After raising four boys they became avid travelers.
Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband Herbert, and will live bright in the memory of those she left behind, including her four children Donald and Kathryn Brady of Rumson, Kevin and Janet Brady of Tuckerton, Barry Brady of Marlton, Scott and Nancy Brady of Monmouth Junction. She is forever beloved by her grandchildren: Jennifer, Emily, Michael, Donny, Janelle, Corey, Christian, Amber and Tyler. She will be remembered by her great-grandchildren, Milo, Alba, Claire and Tristan.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 9:15am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Michael R. C. Church in Craford at 10:30am. Interment will follow to Graceland Memorial Park.
Visitation is 3 to 6pm on Sunday, January 8, 2023.
