Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Kielbasa (Schubert), age 92, passed away peacefully on August 18th, 2020 at Center for Hope Hospice in Elizabeth. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ on February 2, 1928, daughter of the late Max and Elisabeth Schubert.

Elizabeth married Benjamin Kielbasa on February 9, 1946 and was a resident of Roselle Park for over 70 years. Elizabeth had five children and was a homemaker until she began working at several jobs, including Galloping Hill Inn, Hexacon Electric, and as a crossing guard for many years in Roselle Park near Sherman School.

She loved playing bingo, cooking, baking, and watching sports, especially her New Jersey Devils. She also loved traveling with her children and grandchildren.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Benjamin, her son Richard, and her five siblings.

She will be missed dearly by her 4 children, Laura Masterson and husband Michael, Susan Lammerding and husband Richard, Benjamin Kielbasa, and Karl Kielbasa. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, no services will be held at this time. A gathering for friends and family will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Center for Hope Hospice at https://www.cfhh.org/donate.html.

My first memories will be of Aunt Liz walking somewhere, often with Grandma Schubert. Aunt Liz usually wore shorts and sleeveless blouses, which made her look young and with it compared to my Mom and Lois Dering. Great memories.
