Obituary for Florita Perez (Rivera)
Florita Perez, (nee: Rivera), 87, of Kenilworth, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
Visitation will be 6 to 8pm Sunday December 17, 2023, in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park.
Funeral services will be Monday December 18, 2023, in the funeral home at 10am. Please be at the funeral home by 9am. Interment will follow to Rosedale Cemetery in Linden.
Florita was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, living in Bronx, NY, most of her life in Elizabeth, NJ before settling to Kenilworth, NJ in 2017.
She worked in the accounting department at Cagus Expressway Ford in Puerto Rico, then an entrepreneur selling everything from Tupperware to Amway. Florita then was a homemaker most of her life dedicated to taking care of her beloved husband and four loving children.
Florita was one of nine siblings, family was everything to her, enjoying cooking and family gatherings and she had an amazing green thumb with her plants by talking to them and giving them tender loving care.
She was a devout catholic and parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth.
Florita is predeceased by her beloved husband, Hector Luis Perez.
Surviving are four loving children, Ivelisse Horton and her husband John, Hector L. A. Perez and his wife Yvonne, Ramon E. Perez and his wife Wendy, and Eduardo A. Perez, six adored grandchildren, Jose, Mario, Andre, Zariah, Ramon, Jr., and Stacey, six cherished great-grandchildren, Abigail, Joshua, Julius, Nora, Lianna, and Estrella, two dear sisters, Mercedes and Josefina.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and friends.
