Obituary for Frances M Kelly
Frances Marie (Wiliams) Kelly passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 97.
Frances was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from St. Brendan’s High School in Brooklyn and spent most of her life in Brooklyn, New York. She was a legal secretary in Manhattan for over 43 years before retiring in 1989. In 2006, she moved to Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania before finally residing in Lakewood, New Jersey in 2018.
Frances is predeceased by her parents Frances Marie (Mohan) Williams and Edward Williams, her husband John Kelly, her son Richard Torregrossa, her son-in-law William Foy, her brother Edward Williams, her sister Virginia (Gina Williams) Salinardo, her brother Robert Williams, and her cherished great granddaughter Annabell Foy.
Frances is survived by her daughter Lynne Foy of Lakewood, New Jersey and her daughter-in-law Patricia Torregrossa of Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania.
She also leaves behind five grandchildren who have many fond memories of spending time with her in the Poconos at her summer house: James Foy and his wife Jodi, Christopher Foy and his wife Laura, Keith Torregrossa and his wife Becca, Danielle Wilber and her husband Jason, and Kirk Torregrossa and his husband Seth.
Frances was a great grandmother to seven great grandchildren who lovingly called her Greatma: Nicolas and Madison Torregrossa, Jared and Hannah Foy, Branna, Rowan, and Cian Foy. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A private burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.
