Gary Walck, 68, of Smithville, passed away at his home on December 4, 2020. Born in Elizabeth, Gary lived in Kenilworth before moving to Smithville 6 years ago.
He was a postal worker in Cranford for 28 years before his retirement and served 6 years in the US National Guard. Gary was a member & retired Chief of the Kenilworth Fire Department since 1973 and was very active in Kenilworth & the Smithville Adult Communities.

Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Mary; brother & sister in law, Robert & Donna; brothers in law, Peter & Diane Pantina & Michael & Rosalia Pantina sister in law, Donna & Carl Peterson; 9 nieces & nephews & 6 great nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-5pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Funeral mass will be on Wednesday at 10:30am at St Theresa Church, Kenilworth, with burial to follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Due to the Pandemic, only 30 people will be allowed in the building at a time. Friends are encouraged to pay their respects and allow other that are waiting to enter the building.
