Obituary for George E. "Buzzy" Spera
George E. “Buzzy” Spera, 69, a lifelong Kenilworth resident, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 9am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Cemetery will be private.
Visitation will be 6 to 8pm Thursday.
He was a service manager for Sullivan Chevrolet in Roselle Park for 20 years, retiring 20 years ago.
George was a former chief and member of the Kenilworth Volunteer Fire Department and member of the Kenilworth Volunteer Rescue Squad as an EMT and a member of the Fireman’s Exempt Insurance Company and a member of the Kenilworth Knights of Columbus Fr. McVeigh Council 4186.
He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Marie Spera, a brother Richard Spera, and a niece Caitlyn O’Connor.
George is survived by his sister Alycia O’Connor, two nephews Very Reverend James Spera and Thomas Spera, and a niece Bonnie Greer.
