Obituary for Gunter Eggers
Gunter Eggers, 84, of Kenilworth, NJ, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021, surrounded by his loving family holding his hand.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 1 to 4pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park. A service will be at 3pm.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic only 30 people are allowed into the funeral home along with a mask and social distancing.
Born in Hannover, Germany, Gunter emigrated to the United States to Kenilworth, NJ in 1956 and became a United States Citizen in 1973 with his wife Rosemarie.
He was a tool & die maker for PSE&G in Sewaren, NJ for 20 years, retiring in 1995.
Gunter’s greatest joy was taking his grandchildren to the park to watch them play.
He always had a smile for everyone he met and loved talking about the stock market.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 63 years, Rosemarie (nee: Denecke), two loving children; Monika LaPrete and Arthur Eggers, three cherished grandchildren; Arthur Tanner, Stephen and Carson, two adored great-grandchildren; Tucker Gunter and Ashlyn.
