Obituary for Helen Bognar (Kovacs)
Helen Bognar, (nee: Kovacs), 86, of Union, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2023.
Visitation will be held 10 to 11am at St. Theresa R. C. Church, 541 Washington Ave., Kenilworth with an 11am funeral mass.
Helen was born in Hungary, came to the United States in 1956 settling to Newark, NJ and then Union, NJ, 19 years ago.
She made wedding dresses then worked in a plastic factory in Morristown for 10 years, before retiring many years ago.
Helen enjoyed bingo, word searches and long walks, which she was still doing up until the time she passed away.
Family was everything to Helen and she loved spending time with them.
Predeceased is her beloved husband, Steve Bognar and three dear sisters.
Surviving are two loving daughters, Helen Bognar and Catherine Campanaro and her husband Michael, and two adored grandchildren, Michael and Alexandria.
