Obituary for Helen M Errigo

Helen M. Errigo (nee Herzog)

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Funeral mass will be on Friday at 10am at Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia, NJ

Helen was born in Morristown, NJ and lived in Denville, NJ. She attended The Hub grammar school and Rockaway High School.

Helen was employed with her late husband, Emmanuel Errigo, for Salem Management Co. of Union, NJ for 48 years as building manager for a small apartment complex in Elizabeth, NJ.

Helen was a parishioner of the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park, NJ where she served as an extraordinary Eucharist minister and Catechist for several years. Prior to the Church of the Assumption, she was also a Catechist for St. Genevieve’s Church and Immaculate Conception Church both of Elizabeth, NJ. Helen also shared the faith of the Catholic Church for two years through the R.C.I.A program. At Immaculate Conception Church, she was a member of the Rosary Society.

Helen is predeceased by her previous husbands, Richard C. Hink of Morristown, NJ (1987); Andrew J. McShane (1989) of Morristown, NJ; and of her late husband of 35 years, Emmanuel F. Errigo of Elizabeth (2003); her son Bryan S. McShane (1993); and her brother George Herzog (2018).
Helen is survived by her three daughters and one son: Sylvia Fisher and her husband Arthur, Rickie McShane and his wife Deborah, Victoria Jimenez and her husband Jose, and Denise Desien and her husband Joseph.
Cherished grandmother of Jeff Mills and wife Christine, Jacqueline Bolig and husband Robert, Rick McShane and wife Melissa, Katie Torres and husband Santos, Kristina Jennings and husband Robert, Matthew Errigo, and Eric Jimenez and wife Danielle.
Helen had six great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Helen is also survived by her sister Jane Leigh and sister-in-law Marge Herzog, along with many nieces and nephews.
