Obituary for James B Zoeller Sr.

James B Zoeller Sr., 91, of Scotch Plains, NJ, loving and caring husband, father, poppy and brother, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday February 28, 2024.

Born in Bayonne, NJ in 1932, he was the son of Robert and Elizabeth Ann Zoeller. He graduated Cranford High School and moved to Garwood NJ when he married the love of his life June. They settled in Scotch Plains NJ where they raised their family.

He served in the US Army from 1956-1962 before becoming an electrician for the Raritan Valley railroad. He went on to work for Gordon Distillers and General Motors before retiring in 1998.

Jim was a devoted family man. He loved going on road trips with his family throughout the country. Family, friends, and neighbors knew that Jim was full of knowledge and could fix and do just about anything. He had a passion for boating and fishing and spent many summers on the water at the Jersey Shore.

Jim always touched the hearts of all who knew him, and he will never be forgotten.

Jim was predeceased by his wife, June, his brother Robert, and sister Janet.

He is survived by his loving children, Elizabeth A Zoeller, James B Zoeller Jr and his wife Gigi, his adoring grandchildren Allison and Jimmy III, and his grandpup Finn. His sisters Mary and Marion, and brother Edward and his wife Jan, along with a large family and many friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Gathering at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park NJ on Friday March 8, 2024 from 2 to 5 pm with a prayer service at 4:30 pm.
