Obituary for Jean Cistaro (Chiumento)
Jean Cistaro, (nee Chiumento), 90, of Roselle Park, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022.
Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeal Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park, on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 8:45am. Funeral mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park, at 10am with interment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Visitation will be on Friday from 3-6pm. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, masks are required in the funeral home at all times.
A lifelong resident of Roselle Park, Jean was fiercely devoted to her family & church. After marrying Armand Cistaro, Jr, she became a committed wife & mother of 2. Although Jean was the youngest of 11 children, she often looked after her sisters and brother. Even as the family grew larger, she would host the yearly Christmas parties in the basement of her home. Always the consummate homemaker, she was known for her delicately crafted Christmas cookies and crumb cake that was beyond compare. She loved to bake for her family as well as her friends at the Casano Community Center and the events at her church. She has been an active member if the Church of the Assumption, where she volunteered as well as lifetime member of the Rosary Society.
Jean was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband Armand Cistaro, Jr; dear son, Armand III & daughter in law, Estela Cistaro.
She will be forever remembered by her dear son John; dear sister, Catherine; loving grandson, Armand Cistaro IV and his wife Jaclyn' adored granddaughter, Amie Cistaro & her her cherished great grandchildren, AJ, Max & Lena.
In lieu of flowers, donations to her favorite charity, St Judes Childrens Hospital, would be greatly appreciated.
