Obituary for Jean W Henry
Jean Wilner Henry 81, passed away on October 15th 2021 at 12:07 PM at his home in Roselle Park. His story started on June 4th 1940 in Croix Des Bouquet where he was born to the late Dufrene Henry and Melanie Jean.
He attended Charlotin Mare Adieux School where he completed his primary education from kinder garden to Junior High School. He later attended Lycée Toussaint Louverture where he graduated High School. He later pursued a career in education and got the opportunity to teach at Miss Catherine School, Eben-Ezer School in his home town of Croix Des Bouquets.
He later left for the town of Saint Marc as he was offered an opportunity to be the director at Douglas Evangelical Missionary School, Where he met and married his wife Marie Gladys Carmant in May 2nd 1981. Jean Wilner was passionate about teaching, music, singing and must of all he was extremely passionated about sharing the word of God. He played the accordion, he used to sing at church and taught Sunday school at church.
On September 1985 he decided to migrate to the United States where he later brought his wife and children. Living in New Jersey he integrated as a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church where he became the dickens, taught Sunday school ,was the president of the group Gedeon and help many other responsibilities at the church.
Our beloved Jean Wilner was a great husband, father, son, uncle, cousin and friend. He was loved by many and survived by his wife Marie Gladys Henry, his children, Mafharda, Obed and Lyghmy. His six grand children Julian, Christopher, Jordan, Isabella, Azelea,and McKinley.
His brothers and sisters Matilde, Sheila, Natacha, Ketsia, Ferone, Naomie , Jean Roscol.
His nieces , nephews and cousins: Ondeyleine and her kids Orlens Jocemyanda , Wonderland, Shneider. Bethssaida and her kids Pekia Peroudy, Roolensky. Ojeda and Ojay. Luquessy and son Sebastien. Fauster and his children Fausterline Shakina, Miledy, Renaya. Fiselie and her kids Marie, Jean Claude, Gladys, Yves, Michelet, Waltha, Myriam. Nicole and her daughter Lanisha. Marie Marthe and her daughter Magdalie. Bertha and her daughters Kethia and Fensha. Dumond and his children Dieula, Nhabenie, Augustave, Illecia, Illemise, Irina, Filsien, Bethany, and Assoina. Nicole, Willy, Vilais, Claudia, Clerna, Maurisse, Mireille, Gertrude,Marie Anne, Nickson, Chantale, Vladimir
He was predeceased by his daughter Myriame, his brothers Wilberg, and Ramelt and his sisters Himmance, Elienne, Lourne, and Naela.
Jean Wilner had a great personality he was always caring, warm , welcoming very charismatic individual. He had a huge personality larger than life it self. I struggled with having to make a summary of his legacy in fews small paragraphs. The ones who knew him well knows the individual he was is not one easy to sum up.
Today we are gathering to celebrate your life dad, celebrating a race that you ran extremely well as you will forever live in our heart ,we know that you are resting peacefully in the arms of our loving Father.
