Jennie Bavaro, 103, of Roselle Park, passed away peacefully at Westfield Center, on Monday, April 27, 2020.

Jennie (Baldassarre) Bavaro was born on March 4, 1917 in Serra-Pratola, Province of Avellino, Italy. She arrived to the US by ship on December 31, 1952 and lived with her brother Antonio & sister-in-law Anna Maria Baldassarre in Roselle Park. By working long hours in a factory, Jennie supported her family. Gardening, crocheting & family time were favorite activities.
Jennie was 1 of 10 children. She was predeceased by her parents, Nicola & Rosa (Petruzziello), 5 brothers, 4 sisters, husband Aniello Bavaro, son-in-law, Joseph Lefano & grandson Joseph Lefano, Jr.
To mourn her passing, Jennie leaves a loving daughter, Carmela Lefano; caring son, Jerry Bavaro & wife Luisa; devoted grandchildren, Vincent, Mary Jane & Lance, Janet & David, Lori & Kenny, Dana & Frank, Susan & Rich; great grandchildren, Alyssa & Mike, Michael, Natalie, Marissa, Leah, Joseph III, Juliana, Lindsay, Kenny, Jerry, Christopher, Tommy, Richie, Matthew & Steven and 5 great-great grandchildren, Adelina, Liliana, Elias, Andre & Julian.
All services will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
