Obituary for Jeremy Dylan Maraj
Jeremy Dylan Maraj, age 12, was granted his angel wings on Friday, July 19, 2019 at University Hospital.
Born on May 7, 2007, in Livingston, NJ, Jeremy enjoyed doing what most 12-year-old boys do. He loved playing video games, basketball, soccer. He had a passion for music, including free-styling rap, where he would spontaneously rap about how his day went. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially climbing & skiing.
Jeremy also loved being surrounded by dogs - especially his English Bulldog, Spike. Sometimes he would help dog-sit, where his record was eleven dogs in one house.
Most importantly, Jeremy had a deep love for his family. He cherished the time he & his brothers would spend playing practical jokes on each other. He loved when family gathered together, especially during the holidays. His favorite holiday was Christmas where he enjoyed brainstorming ideas for gifts to give others.
He leaves behind his mother, Lisa Jamurath, his father, Ricky Maraj, their significant others Mark and Joanna, his brothers, Kevin, Shaan, and Darren, grandparents, Mooneah Maharaj, Lutch & Nindee Maraj. He will be dearly missed by a countless number of aunts, uncles & cousins.
A private celebration of Jeremy’s life will be held on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to Children’s Specialized Hospital to help support children facing special health challenges, from chronic illnesses and complex physical disabilities like brain and spinal cord injuries, to developmental and behavioral issues like autism and mental health.
