Jerry Lobb, 80, of Bayville NJ passed away on Tuesday July 19th. Jerry Paul Lobb was born to Glennie and Glenford Lobb of Osceola Pennsylvania on September 17th, 1941. Jerry was a mechanic by trade and led a very successful career for over 30 years as a Buildings Supervisor for Bell Atlantic/Verizon, managing over 40 buildings and communication sites throughout NJ.
Growing up in PA, Jerry Moved to Elizabeth NJ, where he met his wife-to-be, Carole Anne Signorello of Roselle Park. They married and started their family in their first home in Elizabeth. After having their three children - Jeffrey, Jennifer and Jason, Carole and Jerry moved the family to Roselle Park. After Jeffrey's high school graduation, He and Carole moved the family to what would be their retirement home in a place they both loved down in Bayville NJ, on the water.
Jerry loved his boats - his first was "Oh Carole 1" and the second "Oh Carole II". Jerry was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman throughout his life. He loved his Adirondack camp in upstate NY, where life is peaceful and slower-paced.
At his home in Bayville, Jerry was surrounded by many amazing friends who were always there for him. Jerry's door was always open and his friends stopped by to spend time with him every day. His love for his dog "Lady" was deep as she was his constant companion after his wife Carole passed away. Lady, the beloved springer spaniel will remain with the Lobb family in good Care.
Jerry is survived by his three children - Jeffrey Lobb and his wife Tiffany of Fredon, NJ, their children Joey, Lily, James Parker, Greyson, Cooper and Oakley; his daughter Jennifer Taylor and her husband Mike of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, and their children Kayla, Mackenzie, and Zachary; and his son Jason Lobb and wife Christine of Boonton Twp. NJ and their children, William, James Patrick, and Mia. Jerry and Carole were blessed with their 3 children and 12 grands.
Jerry was predeceased by his loving wife Carole Anne Lobb and his parents Glennie and Glenford Lobb. Jerry will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
Viewing will be at Mastapeters Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park Tuesday July 26th, from 9am - 12pm. Burial will take place at St. Gertrudes Cemetery in Colonia immediately after. Repass to follow at Costas Restaurant, 120 Chestnut St. in Roselle Park.
