Jesus Reyes Saldaña, 85, of Roselle Park, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2019, surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born on October 8, 1933, in Sampaloc, Manila to Guadalupe and Feliciano Saldaña. Jesus graduated from Monsignor Donovan High School and received a double degree in Business Administration and Fine Arts from University of the Philippines. He was a regional sales manager at Petrophil from 1963-1977 and received an award for coining the gas station name from Esso to Petron in 1974.

He married Isabel in 1961 and was predeceased in 1987. Survived by his second wife, Emeline whom he married in 1991, his eldest daughter Anna Marie, his youngest daughter Anna Carissa, his grandchildren Chris, Joshua, Justin, Reanna, and Isabelle, and six of his siblings Trinidad, Fe, Emma, Jose, Mary, and Patricio. He was preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe and Feliciano, his middle child Nina, and his two brothers Arturo and Restituto.

Jesus was a loving and caring husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. He was a prolific painter and an avid fan of golf. Often changing the lyrics, he spontaneously performed Frank Sinatra songs. He was a natural comedian, known for his great sense of humor and witty jokes until the end. During his final days, he sang to us, “I did it my way.” (Frank Sinatra).
Jesus was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
