Joan N. Rillo, (nee: Karl), 81, of Springfield, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 28, 2020.
Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park is handling the arrangements. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic a Funeral Mass will take place at a later date.
Born in Newark, NJ, Joan lived in Roselle for 25 years before moving to Springfield, NJ 21 years ago.
She was a crossing guard for the Roselle Police Department at Washington School and Harrison School retiring after 31 years of service.
Joan is predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas J. Rillo.
Surviving are three loving children, Timothy Rillo and his wife Jackie, Ellen Van Pelt and her husband Jeffrey, and Kathleen Swirz and her husband Michael, dear sister of Donald Karl and Marilyn Cusano, six adored grandchildren, Jessica, Adam, Emily, Mary, Jake, and Amanda, and two cherished great-grandchildren Molly and Bailey.
