Obituary for John F Trapp
John F Trapp, 87, passed away at his home on March 13, 2021. Born in Brooklyn NY, he lived in Roselle Park for many years before moving to Westfield.
He worked as a bridge operator for the NJ Department of Transportation before retiring and served his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Navy.
John is survived by Wife Joan of 51 years; Children, Jennifer, John, Maureen Vaz (Anthony);Grandchildren, Sophia, Ava, John and Lily.
Visitation will be on Monday from 4-7 at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Funeral mass will be on Tuesday at 10am at Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Atlantic Home Care & Hospice, 465 South St, Morristown, NJ or the VFW, Kenilworth.
