Joseph M. Mate, 60, of Kenilworth, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022.
A Memorial Mass will be on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at St. Theresa R. C. Church in Kenilworth at 10:30am. Cremation was private. Mastapeter Funeral Home in Roselle Park is handling the arrangements.
Born in Newark, NJ, Joseph lived in Union before settling to Kenilworth in 1988.
He was a Xerox Technician for 35 years for the Xerox Corporation in Morris Plains retiring in 2020.
Joseph is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Katherine (nee: Gunther) Mate.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 33 years, Deborah R (nee: Givens) Mate, three loving children Joseph M. Mate, Jr. and his wife Carina, Richard Mate and his wife Lindsey, and Samantha Mate, Two adored grandchildren Joelle and Gionni, a dear sister Joanne Silva and her husband Oliver and many nieces and nephews.
