Obituary for Joseph Caffrey

Joseph Caffrey, 79, of Tamiment, PA, formerly of Roselle Park, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2021.

Funeral is from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 8:45am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park at 10am. Interment will follow to St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
Visitation will be Friday 3 to 7pm.

DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ONLY 45 PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED INTO THE FUNERAL HOME AT A TIME. A FACE MASK IS REQUIRED OVER THE NOSE AND MOUTH ALONG WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING AND CONTACT TRACKING.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Joseph lived in Linden, NJ, Roselle Park, NJ for 45 years and settled to Tamiment, PA in 2002.

He was the chief lineman for PSE&G in Elizabeth for 39 years, retiring in 2002.

Joseph served his country in the United States Navy.

He was the past captain and life member of the Roselle Park volunteer First Aid Squad and a Webelos Scout Leader.

Joseph is predeceased by his beloved wife, Carol (nee: Brown) Caffrey.
Surviving are two loving sons, Wayne Caffrey and his wife Mary and Mark Caffrey and his wife Christine, dear brother, Richard Caffrey, seven adored grandchildren, Kevin, Stephanie, Mark, Dillon, Maren, Ian, and Maylin, and a cherished great-granddaughter Savannah.
