Obituary for Joseph N Sidoti

Joseph Nicholas Sidoti, Roselle Park, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21st.

Joseph was born on March 19th, 1929 in Bloomfield, NJ. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was active in many local organizations such as, member of the Father McVeigh Council, 4186 Knights of Columbus, Kenilworth; Grand Knight of the Roselle Park Knights of Columbus, Member of the VFW, Bloomfield; past president of the Sons of Italy Vince Lombardi Lodge, Garwood; chapter president of the Woodbridge chapter of Widows & widowers and served as an usher at the Church of the Assumption for 25 years.

Joseph was a dental technician, avid ballroom dancer and loved Frank Sinatra & Glenn Miller. He was a fan of the New York Yankees, especially Joe DiMaggio. He enjoyed spending time playing bocce ball; visiting Wildwood Crest where he could be seen driving his Cadillac around town and was known for his homemade pizza.

Joseph was predeceased by his loving wife, Sylvia Helen Ceres whom he married on June 7, 1954 and had 3 daughters; Michelle Pabst; Cynthia Sidoti-Whitaker & Rebecca Battell; proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Funeral mass will be on Thursday at 10am at Church of the Assumption, Roselle Park with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
