Obituary for Judith A Branick

Judith Ann Branick (nee Shuart), 69, of Mays Landing, NJ, a woman whose life was a beautiful tapestry of love and adventure, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2023, with her children by her side.

Born on February 27, 1954, in Tuxedo, NY, to the late Kenneth and June (nee Winters) Shuart, Judith was a lifelong hairdresser whose nimble fingers and creative flair transformed the lives of countless clients. Her salon chair wasn't just a place for haircuts; it was a haven of laughter, friendship, and confidence, where she sculpted not only hair but also lasting connections.

Judith was an intrepid traveler and an avid cruiser. She reveled in the excitement of discovering new cultures, cuisines, and vistas. Whether she was strolling through bustling markets in far-off lands or sitting on her balcony, looking over the ocean from her Mexican Villa, her adventurous spirit never waned.

She was a devoted friend and confidante, always ready with a listening ear and a comforting word. Her warm smile and infectious laughter could brighten even the cloudiest of days. Her trademark honesty and sharp wit will be two of the things missed most by her loved ones. But make no mistake, she would not hesitate to speak her mind when it was necessary.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure and unforgettable memories that will forever warm our hearts. Anyone that knows Judith, knows she was the central figure in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Judith is predeceased by her husband, John Branick Sr, Aunt Diane Shannon and brother Keith Shuart. She is survived by her loving children: Kristie Payne (husband John Payne) of Hawthorne, NJ, John Branick Jr. (husband Bill Malcolm) of Toms River, NJ, and Brooke Hobbs (partner Jason Delgado) of Absecon, NJ; Beloved and adored grandchildren Lance Hobbs, Alex Hobbs, Cash Payne, Jordan Delgado, and Wynter Delgado; Longtime Companion Dominick Fraulo, Siblings Kenneth (Lisa) Shuart Jr, Charles (Diane) Shuart, Debra Mensche, Kirstie (Kevin) Beers, Bill (Teresa) Shuart and Uncle Charles Shannon. She also leaves behind a community of friends and family who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

A celebration of Judith's life will take place on Thursday from 3-7pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Funeral service will be on Friday at 10am at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, Jamesburg.

Rest in the sweetest peace, dear Judith, and may your travels in the afterlife be as wondrous as those on Earth. You are eternally loved.
