Obituary for Karen Adamson

Karen Leslie Adamson (nee Kaye) passed away at her home in Cranford, NJ on Monday, October 2, 2023 which would have been her 41st wedding anniversary. Karen, 65, was born in Newark, NJ and grew up in Roselle Park, NJ. After marrying Mark (known as Fred) in 1982, she resided in Bayonne, NJ for one year before settling in Cranford, NJ.

Karen studied computer science at Kean College and then worked as a software programmer for Midlantic Bank and AIG before retiring.

Karen loved going on cruises, the New York Giants, Rod Stewart, the Beatles, especially Paul McCartney. She also enjoyed preparing dishes using ingredients from her husband's plentiful garden.

Karen was pre-deceased by her husband, Mark "Fred" (2022), her brother, Paul Kaye and her parents, Joseph Kaye and Irene Kaye Mayhem.

Karen was also pre-deceased by her sister-in-law, Claudia Adamson and brothers-in-law Robert Adamson and Merrill Adamson.

Karen is survived by her brothers-in-law Sandy Adamson (Marsha), Lawrence Adamson (Patty), Kevin Adamson (Anne) and her sister-in-law Joyce Adamson, as well as nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and cousins. She leaves behind her two bearded collies, Rigby and Kelsi whom she dearly loved.

Donations in Karen's name may be made to The Bearded Collie Club of America Rescue or Center of Hope Hospice, Scotch Plains, NJ.
