Obituary for Kathleen R. Ringk (Mango)

Kathleen Ringk, 77, of Kenilworth, passed away on January 12, 2022, after an over 15-year battle with COPD.

Kathleen was born in Newark, NJ on October 24, 1944, to George and Margaret Mango and lived in Atlantic Highlands, NJ before moving to Kenilworth, NJ in 1948.

Kathleen graduated from Jonathan Dayton Regional High School in 1962 and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Delaire Gardens Assisted Living, Manor Care Health Services and for over 20 years at Westfield Orthopedic Group with Dr. Dean Carlson, Marianne McCabe, and Susan Broekel until she retired in 2013. She also was a Eucharistic Minister for St. Theresa’s Church in Kenilworth.

Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her.

Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Robert W. Ringk, her daughter Janet and husband Harry Durda, and her son John Trotte and wife Janet. She was the Nonnie of two grandchildren, Gianna Trotte and Zachary Trotte. Her sister Patty and husband Bob Klempa, niece Shannon and nephew Sean, lifelong friend Sue (Kutchie) Wright and many families and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday January 19 from 6 – 8 PM at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave, Roselle Park. Funeral mass will be on Thursday January 20 at 10:30am at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, 541 Washington Ave Kenilworth.
