Obituary for Katie Martins (DiBello)
Katie Martins, (nee: DiBello), 87, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.
A memorial gathering will be 11am to 1pm on Friday, August 7, 2020 in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park. Services will be held during the gathering.
Born in Newark, NJ, Katie lived in Roselle Park, NJ for 29 years before moving to Lakewood in 1994. She loved growing up in Newark and has many friends from there.
She was a linen supervisor for Union Hospital in Union for 15 years, retiring 27 years ago.
Katie was a member of the Mom’s Club in Roselle Park, great Italian cook, and match maker of many.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Loved everyone who touched her heart.
Katie is predeceased by her beloved husband Luiz V. Martins, and four dear siblings Jimmy, Peter, Tony and Salvatore DiBello, and Lillian DiFabrizio.
Surviving are three loving children Rocky Martins and his longtime companion Mildred, Renee Martins, and Flora DeGeorge and her husband Chris and five adored grandchildren Max, Owen, Neal, Matthew, and Ryan.
