Leonardo (Lenny) Rao of Kenilworth, N.J. passed away on November 25th. 2021 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ after fighting a good fight against several health issues.

He was born on September 7th, 1951 in Reggio, Calabria, and was 70 years old upon his passing. He came to the United States from Italy in 1974 and came to Kenilworth, NJ where he lived in his family home. He retired as custodian for the East Hanover school district. Lenny loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Lenny was predeceased by his mother, Carmelina, his father, Ferdinando, and his sister Adele Rao. He is survived by his three brothers Domenico (Mimmo) and his wife Carol, Frank, and his wife Karen, Rocco, and his wife Mary. Lenny is also survived by his 3 nephews, Christopher Rao, Dominick Rao, and Frankie Rao as well as his 3 nieces Carmelina Rao, Marissa Rao, and Stephanie Sierra. Lenny loved and was loved by both family and friends both here and in Italy.

There will be a viewing for Lenny on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021 at 10:30 followed by the entombment at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ.
