Obituary for Louis Vitale
Louis Vitale, 77, of Egg Harbor, NJ, formerly of Kenilworth, NJ, passed away on Sunday, October 1,2023 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Galloway, NJ
Visitation will be in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 4 to 7pm with a service at 4:30pm.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Louis lived in Kenilworth and Scotch Plains before moving to Egg Harbor 10 years ago.
Louis was a police officer for the Kenilworth Police Department for 20 years, before retiring 25 years ago.
He served his country in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was discharged as a Corporal.
Louis was a member of VFW Post 493.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife; Joann (Sylvester) Vitale, a dear sister; Antoinette Kulas, adored niece Lisa Kulas; and his parents; Mary Philomena (Arianno) and Michael L. Vitale, Sr.
Surviving are two dear brothers; Michael L. Vitale, Jr. and his wife Kathy, and Richard Vitale and his wife Susan, a dear sister; Mary L. DeCristofaro and her husband Elio, adored nieces and nephews; Angela, Laura, Domonick, Richard, Jenna, Michael, and Kimberly, and five loving great-nieces; Aubrey, Ella, Holly, Marissa, and Haylie.
